First Session
What To Expect
Well, take off your coat, have a seat and relax...Our first training session will begin with lots of questions focused on learning more about you:
Habits
Lifestyle
Nutrition
Goals
ETC
We'll then talk more about some of our core philosophies, how to incorporate them into your life and of course answer your questions. We'll obviously get in some gym time and start to build a plan for you to quickly reach your goals.
Our Philosophy
Our fitness philosophy is centered around one principle: balance. We believe that achieving a healthy lifestyle involves finding a harmonious equilibrium between exercise, nutrition, and mental well-being. We understand that each individual is unique, and therefore, we tailor our fitness programs to meet the specific needs and goals of our clients. We provide personalized guidance and support, ensuring that every workout is safe, effective, and enjoyable. We emphasize the importance of both cardiovascular and strength training exercises to build endurance, increase flexibility, and enhance overall performance. Additionally, we place great emphasis on nutrition, educating our clients on proper eating habits and providing them with personalized meal plans. We also recognize the significance of mental well-being, encouraging mindfulness and stress reduction techniques. At our gym, we strive to empower individuals to lead healthier and happier lives through a comprehensive and holistic approach to fitness.
We think you will really like The Gym. It's about 2000 sq feet part carpet part mat, clean and the 2 of us will be the only ones there. We have tons of weights, bars, 100's of kilos of Kettlebells, a pull-up rig, Heavy Bag, Concept 2 Rowers, Dumbbells, Ski ERG, Bike ERG, Bands, Peloton, a Self Powered Treadmill and a NordicTrack Treadmill that goes up to a 40 degree incline. There's lots more too. We are conveniently located, just a couple minutes from I-25 and Sante Fe with plenty of parking.
The Gym
From a very young age, I always loved competition especially in sports. Soccer, Basketball, Racquetball, Volleyball, Golf, Wrestling, Billiards...I played them all and lots more. I am also one of those weirdos that always loved the gym. In 2003, while living in Oregon, I was introduced to something really new called "Crossfit". Well, I was hooked immediately. In 2005 I was formally certified to teach Crossfit and opened the very first Crossfit gym in Colorado; Crossfit Denver. Teaching 1000's of people how to improve their overall health & fitness levels has been an amazing journey. I have met some of the most wonderful people over several decades. Today, far from the huge gym, WOD's and crowded classes, I work with people one-on-one with a passion to help improve their overall health & fitness levels...Because I love it!
